King Charles, has made a decision regarding Balmoral Castle, that it will be officially opened to the public. Tourists will be able to explore the castle, that has been a favorite of the royals.
This decision is the first of its kind, considering the Royal family is so hush-hush about their lives. Advertised as a “historical journey”, this will grant visitors the ability to learn about the origins of the castle, from the time of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
Visitors can book an afternoon tea session and savour the delicious sandwiches, cakes and scones. The guided tour costs $125 per person and if you wish to include the tea session, then $190.
The tours will run daily from 4th July to 11th August. According to the official website, Balmore is a Scottish Castle that serves as a beloved home for the royal family, which was purchased for Queen Victoria by Prince Albert in 1852.
The East Wing of Buckingham Palace is set to open to the public for the first time this summer as well. A historic move indeed!
