It’s almost Valentine’s Day, and those of us who follow the Hallyu wave know where we’ll be spending our time: lying down on the sofa and binge-watching Korean dramas with a reputation for pulling at the heartstrings. Confessions while it’s raining? Check. Sharing a steaming dish of Ramen? Double-check everything. Do you like sweet nothings that make your heart skip a beat? So, there you have it.

Here’s a list of movies to watch on Valentine’s Day, ranging from well-known to critically acclaimed romantic dramas to flicks that need more attention. (Except for Crash Landing on You, which is a guarantee!)

Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo

You can’t go wrong with a coupling like Nam Joo-hyuk and Lee Sung-Kyung, who have the right boy-next-door innocence. The name itself is intriguing, and it is based on Olympic gold medalist Jang Mi-life. ran’s The age-old myth “what she is seeking is there in front of her” applies to a weightlifting champion who has a crush on her friend’s elder brother. This sports drama is packed with sweetness and doesn’t veer too far into the mushy realm. It’s available on Netflix.

Descendants Of the Sun

When you first start watching K-dramas, this is typically the rite of passage you go through. The program, which starred Soong Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo as the ‘Song-song’ pair, tells the heartbreaking narrative of a soldier and a physician as they battle to overcome hurdles in order to be together. The stars’ on-screen chemistry carried over to their off-screen relationship. The marriage, however, did not endure. Despite this, the program is still a fan favorite. It’s available on Netflix!

The Legend of The Blue Sea

You were with us at Lee Min-ho. Enjoy Lee Min-portrayal ho’s of a con artist and Jun Ji-portrayal hyun’s of a mermaid in this fanciful love story. A fisherman captures and releases a mermaid is the subject of the narrative, which is based on Korean folklore. The narrative of a mermaid and her voyage across the ocean to meet the love of her life is told in this romantic movie. It’s available on Netflix.

Touch Your Heart

In Guardian: The Great and Lonely God, Lee Dong Wook and Yoon In-na didn’t have their happy ending, but they had another opportunity in Touch Your Heart. The plot follows a tough lawyer who falls in love with an actress who has fallen from prominence in a nice and natural way. It’s also just the proper amount of cheesy, so people who don’t want too much mush may appreciate it. It’s available on Netflix!
