The Lucifer actress, Inbar Lavi, 34, has tied knot with Dan Bar Shira on September 13. It was a bohemian beachside ceremony in their native Israel, held at the Al Hayam. According to People Lavi told Brides, “We’re both Israeli and very connected to our roots. Our family lives here and we were raised by the Mediterranean, which made us who we are today.”
Several cultural traditions were incorporated in the ceremony, including a beach chuppah, which the bride described as “a little traditional, a little untraditional.” The couple took part in a henna ritual, as well as costumes and a drum circle, in honour of her Moroccan heritage.
The bride and groom, however, were inspired by Burning Man, according to People, and met during the Nevada desert event in August 2019. Lavi described the concept as “Tulum meets Burning Man meets a very nice cocktail,” including light displays, three separate DJs, and a fire show during the after party.
Lavi explained, “We met at Burning Man so we wanted our wedding to emulate a feeling of free-flow festival.” Further, she added, “We also both love the beach so we knew it would have to have waves nearby.” For their first dance, the newlyweds asked their parents to join them in “a mash-up,” according to Lavi. “We started our solo first dance to the sounds of ‘I Can’t Help Falling In Love With You’ [by] Ingrid Michaelson,” she said. “And continued to the OG Elvis Presley version dancing with the parents.”
Meanwhile, Lavi’s real-life wedding comes after the show’s final season, when her Lucifer character Eve (yes, the original Eve) married Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt), a demon with a golden heart.
