Devashish Makhija’s thriller ‘Joram’, won the Best Film, critics along with the Best Story trophy.

The movie is the saga of a tribal man on the run from a system that has labelled him a killer, a Maoist. Forced to leave their forest dwelling in Jharkhand, the protagonist struggles to make ends meet in Mumbai. It’s a sad story of a man forced to flee with his 3-month-old daughter, as he is threatened by a violent past and powerful adversary. His role as a caring father will steal your heart. Smita Tambe plays the coldhearted MLA.

The film touches upon a man’s urge for revenge, his desperation and the pursuit of a better life. The film released in theatres on the 8th December, and will release on OTT mostly in March.
