The six-episode series will serve as a prelude to the upcoming The Marvels, in which the characters will rejoin on-screen alongside Captain Marvel.

Ms Marvel will premiere exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. Ms Marvel will have a six-episode first season, similar to other Marvel TV programs, with the conclusion airing on Wednesday, July 13. Every episode of Ms Marvel is intended to last between 35 and 45 minutes, with episode durations varying week to week.

Ms Marvel portrays Iman Vellani as a 16-year-old Pakistani-American high school girl from Jersey City who, even at home, feels out of place. This all changes when she discovers she has the ability to harness cosmic energy, giving her skills akin to those held by the heroes she has always idolised. The cast is completed by Matt Lintz, who plays Kamala’s best friend, and Aramis Knight, who plays Red Dagger.
