Naseeruddin Shah stated that he suffers from a disorder known as onomatomania. It is characterized by a person’s fixation on a single word or phrase. Naseer claims that no matter how hard he tries, he is unable to relax. Naseer is a well-known and well-liked actor in the Hindi cinema industry, having appeared in films such as Mohra, Sarfarosh, A Wednesday, and others.
When he spoke about his situation, the actor was speaking to YouTube channel Chalchitra Talks. “I have a condition known as onomatomania. I’m not joking when I say that. It’s a medical problem. He answered, “You can look it up in the dictionary.”

Naseer even went into detail about what the disease entails. “Onomatomania is a condition in which you continuously repeating a word, phrase, sentence, verse, or speech for no apparent reason. Except for the fact that you enjoy hearing it. I do that all the time, so I’m never completely relaxed. Even when I’m sleeping, I’m thinking about a favorite verse.”

Naseer also discussed his wife, actress Ratna Pathak Shah, and their various reading lists. He claims that the two frequently recommend books to one another but rarely read them. He claims to be the one who introduced her to cricket, and they both enjoy the Tin Tin comic.

Ratna’s sister Supriya Pathak married Pankaj Kapur’s daughter Sanah Kapur recently, and the pair was present. They even posed with Supriya and Pankaj for a photo that went popular on social media.

In Shakun Batra’s Gehraiyaan, Naseer was last seen. In the film, he played the father of Deepika Padukone’s character. He also appeared in the online series Kaun Banega Shikarwati, in which he played a debt-ridden king who connives his daughters into helping him get out of his predicament. Lara Dutta, Soha Ali Khan, and others appeared in the show.
