The 69th National Film Awards, 2023, was a star-studded affair with President Droupadi Murmu conferring the honors. Winners from several parts of the country have flown in to receive the awards. The ceremony was conducted at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
R Madhavan’s film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect won the best feature film while Allu Arjun got the best actor award. The best actress award was bestowed upon Alia Bhatt for Gangubai Kathiawadi sand Kriti Sanon for Mimi.
Alia Bhatt shares a heart-warming note, “A special day calls for a special outfit. And sometimes…that outfit is already right there (red heart emoji). What’s special once, can be special again. Karan Johar won the National Award for Shershaah and captioned his post, “A momentous day for us all. And continued to play the role of Captain Vikram Batra like no one could! Kriti Sanon, feels blessed and grateful and told the media, “I don’t think I’ve felt this before.”
Veteran actor Waheeda Rehman received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
