The 69th National Film Awards, 2023, was a star-studded affair with President Droupadi Murmu conferring the honors. Winners from several parts of the country have flown in to receive the awards. The ceremony was conducted at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

R Madhavan’s film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect won the best feature film while Allu Arjun got the best actor award. The best actress award was bestowed upon Alia Bhatt for Gangubai Kathiawadi sand Kriti Sanon for Mimi.

Alia Bhatt shares a heart-warming note, “A special day calls for a special outfit. And sometimes…that outfit is already right there (red heart emoji). What’s special once, can be special again. And again #rewear # reuse# repeat.” Kudos to you Alia! Neetu Kapoor, takes to her Instagram stories and shares Alia’s video, “Proud very very proud @aliabhatt God bless (nazar amulet and folded hand emojis)”

Karan Johar won the National Award for Shershaah and captioned his post, “A momentous day for us all. Firstly, my biggest admiration for @apporva1972, always the strongest pillar of strength in any situation. Thankyou @sidmalhotra, who brought this special story to us @dharmamovies. And continued to play the role of Captain Vikram Batra like no one could! You are the heart of the film…@kiaraaliaadvani, truly one of the special artists we have in the industry today….you brought in the pain, the pathos and the pride with Dimple’s character….”

Kriti Sanon, feels blessed and grateful and told the media, “I don’t think I’ve felt this before.”

Veteran actor Waheeda Rehman received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
