Nawazuddin Siddiqui has a certain air about him and I’m trying to phantom how he will be in this romantic role. While promoting his movie, the actor opens up about why he never really felt inspired by the romance depicted in Bollywood.
The actor says, “That, ek banda guitar baja raha hai sadak pe aur dus log aagaye- where do they come from and where do they go? It is beyond my understanding!” The actor has never been able to relate to Bollywood filmy romance. What appeals to him is the truth, reality, such as, “The kind of romance that truly happens in our country, where a boy, after a day of toiling hard, romances wearing a shirt drenched in sweat.”
According to him, Hindi cinema depicts a fantasy life. The movie has Neha Sharma with him in a lead role. He rejects her marriage proposal and we actually will get to see him dance and romance in this rom-com.
The movie has three songs- Torture, Babua and Cocktail. Directed by Kushan Nandy and produced by Touchwood Mutimedia Creations, the movie also stars Sanjay Mishra, Mimoh Chakraborthy and Zarina Wahab.
Talking about his learnings and journey in Bollywood, “The biggest learning in my 20 years of experience is that everything changes including your thoughts and personality as well as acting. A decade ago, my approach towards acting was a little different but now it has changed and maybe in the future it will be something else. And I will keep changing. I cannot stick to one thing or play the same kind of character every time on screen. I would rather kill myself than repeat the same acting or role. Because I will get bored very soon and very easily and then I will move to some other field.”
