A Variety report briefs us that Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan are teaming up for an original Pakistani play. The series will be adopted from the 2013 Urdu novel Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo, written by Farhat Ishtiaq.
Shot in Italy, the show is based on a student who undergoes a life altering incident and a talented artist Liza, who has ghosts from the past. By the author of the mega popular show Humsafar, the series has Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan reunited and this is a hit jodi. They were also seen together in “The Legend of Maula Jatt’ which turned out to be the highest grossing film of all times.
The show is being shot in UK, Pakistan and Italy. Kudos to Netflix for adding a whole new dimension to the OTT world. Joining the cast along with Fawad and Mahira, are Sanam Saeed, Ahad Raza Mir, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Bilal Ashraf, Maya Ali, Iqra Aziz, Hania Aamir, Samina Ahmed and others.
The show is produced by Dubai based Momina Duraid Films FZ-LLC.
Mahira was seen in Bollywood’s film Raees and Fawad marked his entry with Sonam Kapoor in Khoobsurat and the girls were swooning all over him.
