Kangana Ranaut resorted to social media to express her gratitude for the recent publication of The Kashmir Files. The actor also said that there is a ‘pin drop hush’ in the film business over the film, and that many people in Bollywood are surprised by its popularity. On Friday, Vivek Agnihotri’s film The Kashmir Files was released in theatres. Critics have praised the picture, and it has had a solid opening weekend at the box office.

On her Instagram Stories, Kangana wrote a long note about the film, writing, “Please note the deafening silence in the film industry about #thekashmirfiles… not only in terms of content, but also in terms of business… the investment and profit ratio may be such a case study that it will be the year’s most successful and profitable film. It also debunked many myths about theatres being reserved for high-budget event films or visual/VFX spectacles in the aftermath of the pandemic; it’s shattering every myth and preconceived notion that existed, and bringing audiences back to the theatres; 6 a.m. shows in multiplexes are completely sold out!!!”

“Aur unke chamche sadme mein chale gaye hai (Bollywood bullies and their cronies are in shock),” the actor said. Her note ended with the words, “Not a word sari duniya dekh rahi hai inko lekin phir bhi not a word (the whole world is watching but not them). It’s now or never!!”

In a following Instagram Stories picture, she also mentioned film trade expert Taran Adarsh’s tweet praising the film’s high box office success. She scribbled alongside him, “There will be no cheap PR, phoney numbers, or anti-national mafia agendas…desh badlega to filmein bhi badleingi (When the country will change, films will change too). Salute to India!” Kangana Ranaut said last week that Alia Bhatt’s new flick Gangubai Kathiawadi inflated its box office results with “false numbers.”
