Malala Yousafzai is a 24-year-old Pakistani human rights campaigner who was shot by the Taliban for daring to want an education. She is a true inspiration to all young girls and activists all around the world. The Nobel Laureate has proven to be strong, kind, and brave.
Malala Yousafzai took to her official Instagram account and announced that she has begun a new chapter of life by tying the knot with Asser Malik in a small nikkah ceremony at her Birmingham home. Soon after, taking to her Instagram story, Priyanka shared the activist’s gorgeous wedding picture and wrote, “Congratulations @malala Wishing you so much joy and happiness. You are an absolute vision!!”
Priyanka Chopra isn’t the only star who congratulated the young girl. Katrina Kaif, Reese Witherspoon, and Lilly Singh, among many others, also wished Malala on social media.“Congratulations on this wonderful moment!” Witherspoon commented on her Instagram post. Kat also wrote, “Congratulations,” while Lilly added, “Congrats!!!!” with multiple heart emojis.
Yousafzai captioned her post with “Today marks a precious day in my life,” Yousafzai wrote. “Asser and I tied the knot to be partners for life. We celebrated a small nikkah ceremony at home in Birmingham with our families. Please send us your prayers. We are excited to walk together for the journey ahead.”
Yousafzai became the youngest Nobel laureate when she shared the 2014 Peace Prize with Indian children’s rights activist Kailash Satyarthi for their work on behalf of children and education rights.
She graduated from Oxford University in 2020.
