The property cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch has summoned actress Sherlyn Chopra asking her to appear for questioning in connection with the pornography case in which Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra was arrested.
Earlier, the Director of Armsprime Media Private Limited Saurabh Kushwaha was summoned on Thursday for questioning by the Property Cell of Mumbai Crime Branch.
On Thursday, Mumbai Sessions Court said it will hear bail applications of businessman Raj Kundra and his associate Ryan Thorpe on August 10.
The court also has asked reply on bail plea from Mumbai Police officials. Both Raj and Ryan have challenged the magistrate court’s order that rejected their bail applications. Currently, both of them are in judicial custody.
During the proceedings of the court, the investigating officer informed that 68 pornography videos were found on Raj’s laptop.
Adding to it, Police officials said that a film script with sexual content was also found on his personal laptop. Earlier, on July 27, the court has sent Kundra and Thorpe to judicial custody for 14 days.
Raj Kundra was arrested by Mumbai police on July 19 along with 11 other people on charges related to the alleged creation and publishing of pornographic films.
Raj has been booked as a key conspirator by the Mumbai Police which has slapped charges against him under 34 (common intention), Sections 420 (cheating), 292, and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
