The much-awaited movie, which promised to be an entertainer, has been talked about ever since the trailer is out. The handsome Aditya Roy and Sanjana Sanghi, who play the lead roles in this masala entertainer, are they enough to save this movie?

The movie starts with a bang. Covert operations, a super-skilled para commando, and an elite government agency are all set on a mission to save the nation. Aditya Roy is called for an all-important mission, but the attack leaves him half-dead. When he recovers, he has lost his memory and struggles to find answers to his past and present. Sanjana takes good care of him and defends her team members, but Om needs to find his father, Dev, and prove he is not a traitor for fleeing with the blueprints of an avant-garde defense technology called Kavach. Om sets out in search of his father because, “Rakht rahe ya na rahe, rashtra hamesha rahega.”

The action choreography is a definite watch but overall, the movie has multiple layers of unnecessary complications. There is a defeaning background score that adds to every big and small event on the screen. The story is like old wine adorned in a new bottle; it fails to grab your attention. The screenplay is weak and dull, and the character of the actress is wasted. The comedy is forced and viola!! Please protect us from dialogues such as “hope is dope” and “Om khud ek backup hain.”

Aditya Roy Kapur’s glistening biceps, are not strong enough to hold the weight of this strictly average drama. Jackie Shroff and Ashutosh Rana try to make the most of what’s offered to them and Prachee Shah Pandey, plays the “sob”, kheer-cooking mom.

Verdict- “Mission sirf maarna hi nahi, bachna bhi hain,”.. this is the exact review of the movie.
