Ram Setu starring Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez and Nushrratt Bharuccha is all set to release on October 25th.  Akshay Kumar revived the film industry with the movie Sooryavanshi around Diwali in 2021, this year Ram Setu is releasing around the same time with festivities in the air.

The movie has been awarded the U/A certificate, awarded by the Central Board of Film Certification. No scene was cut, only the CBFC asked to modify certain dialogues. Many dialogues mention ‘Ram’ and have been asked to replace with Shri Ram. Similarly, ‘Buddha’ has been asked to replace ‘Lord Buddha’. Few changes in the opening disclaimer are also made. The producers of the film have also been asked to submit documentary sources for the dates mentioned in the film.

The Delhi High Court has restrained 23 ‘rogue’ websites from distributing, exhibiting, downloading and hosting the upcoming movie. Piracy needs to be curbed and addressed. The plea said it was an industry practice to release the film for theatrical exhibition first and then make it available for viewing on other platforms. However, in order to make money, many copies are pirated and downloaded and made available parallelly with the release of the movie in theatres. The producer moved court through advocate Shyel Trehan to seek injunction against rogue websites.

The action-adventure movie is directed by Abhishek Sharma and follows an archeologist who is investigating the nature of Ram Setu, known in English as Adam’s bridge.
