Deepika Padukone is unwell and will not be attending the trailer launch event of the most awaited film, Fighter.
She posted on Instagram, ‘Will miss my Squardon. Good Luck team # Fighter # Fighter trailer.’ It is believed the actress is running fever. The trailer was unveiled yesterday and the intense aerial sequences are breathtaking.
The trailer opens with group Captain Rakesh Jai Singh, played by Anil Kapoor instructing his special response team that has Hrithik Roshan, Deepika and others to build “interpersonal relations” as it is the most important weapon in the face of war.
The scene shifts to Jammu and Kashmir where the entire crew is partying. Peace is shattered by an attack in the Pulwama region. The movie is the efforts of team Air Dragons who are dedicated to giving their utmost for the nation and accepting any challenge that comes their way.
The movie also casts Anil Kapoor, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Karan Singh Grover. It has been shot at air bases in India with real Sukhois Fighter jets. The movie is being compared to Top Gun!
Directed by Siddharth Anand, Deepika and Siddharth have collaborated in two films earlier, Bachna Ae Haseeno and Pathaan. The film is presented by Viacom 18 Studios in association with Marflix Pictures.
