Former actress Saira Banu has thanked Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Aditya Thackeray Sharad Pawar, and Mumbai Police, among others, for a bidding grand farewell for late legendary actor Dilip Kumar.

The actor died on July 7 at the age of 98. Dilip Kumar was laid to rest with full state honors at Juhu Qabrastan in Mumbai. Saira Banu has thanked the Maharashtra government and others with a board put outside their Pali Hill home.

Saira Banu has also thanked the residents of Pali Hill for their cooperation.

“Most grateful to our honorable Chief Minister Shri Uddhav Thackeray Saheb, Shri Sharad Pawar Saheb, Aditya Thackeray Ji, and Shri Sachin Ahir, the Pali Hill residents and the Mumbai Police. A sincere heartfelt thank you for your loving support and co-operation to bid farewell to Dilip Kumar Sahab. Thanking you, Mrs. Dilip Kumar, ” the billboard read.

Dilip Kumar was laid to rest with full state honors on July 7 in Mumbai. The actor’s body was wrapped in the Tricolor as Mumbai Police accompanied the funeral procession from the actor’s residence to Juhu Qabrastan.

He breathed his last at Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai on July 7. Dilip Kumar was hospitalized from June 30, after he started facing breathing issues.
