Sanjay Kapoor remembered his close friend and actor Rajiv Kapoor on his 59th birth anniversary. Sanjay shared some unseen throwback pictures on social media and penned an emotional note along with it. Rajiv Kapoor passed away on February 9 this year after suffering a heart attack.
On the late actor’s 59th birth anniversary today, his loved ones are remembering him. Sanjay Kapoor took to his official Instagram handle to share a few throwback pictures and wrote a note.
He expressed that he couldn’t believe that he didn’t wish Rajiv at midnight on his birthday. He wrote, “Happy birthday chimps. You will always be missed, Still can’t believe that we didn’t speak at sharp 12 in the night, Love you and miss you.”
Who was Rajiv Kapoor?
Rajiv Kapoor was the youngest son of Raj Kapoor. He made his Bollywood debut in 1983 with Ek Jaan Hain Hum. He then went on to act in films like Lover Boy, Aasmaan, Zabardast, and Hum To Chale Pardes.
Rajiv Kapoor died after suffering a heart attack on February 9, 2021. His last rites were performed in Mumbai. His family members Randhir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Armaan Jain, and Aadar Jain were spotted at Rajiv’s Chembur home. Other celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Tara Sutaria, and Alia Bhatt were also seen at his residence to participate in his last rites.
