Satish Kaushik, passed away on Wednesday 9th March, at the age of 66 in New Delhi. His death has been condoled by his friends from Bollywood such as Anupam Kher, Subash Ghai and others. The actor had a sudden heart attack. His body was brought to Mumbai by an air ambulance.
Anupam Kher was a very dear friend of the actor and wrote, “I know death is the ultimate truth of this world! But I never thought in my dreams that I would write this thing about my best friend #SatishKaushik while alive. Such a full stop on a friendship of 45 years! Life will NEVER be the same without you SATISH! OM SHANTI!”
It is said there will be no chautha ceremony. The family will be praying every day till March 20th. The prayer meet will be organized by Anupam Kher on March 21st.
Kartik Aryan took to Instagram and shared a photo of the late Satish Kaushik and wrote, “A great actor, a great human being, and the best landlord I had during my struggling days in the city. Will always remember your encouraging words and laughter sir. RIP Satish Sir.”
Delhi police is said to have visited the farmhouse of the industrialist in south-west Delhi where the actor stayed during his visit. The police are waiting for the post-mortem report to know the exact cause of the actor’s death.
Several Bollywood stars paid their last respects on Thursday to the actor and a tearful cremation ceremony was held at the Versova crematorium in Mumbai. The actor is survived by his wife Shashi and daughter Vanshika.
