Black Knight, an intriguing sci-fi k-drama series set to premiere on Netflix in 2022, is now in production. We expect Black Knight, which is set in a dystopian future, to be another Netflix success from South Korea. Here’s all we know about the first season of Black Knight.

Black Knight is a South Korean Netflix Original sci-fi series based on Lee Yoon Kyun’s webtoon Taekbaegisa. Cho Ui Seok, known for his scripting and directing work on Cold Eyes and Master, is directing the series.

Black Knight is slated for a 2022 release at the time of writing, although Netflix has yet to announce an exact date. With production still underway, the sci-fi k-drama is expected to premiere on Netflix in November or December 2022.

The series’ release date is susceptible to change, and it’s possible that it may be pushed back until early 2023.

Only 1% of the world’s population has survived the deadly air pollution that has destroyed the earth by 2071. For those that remain, society has been reorganized into a tight socioeconomic class where individuals are compelled to wear gas masks due to pollution and seldom leave their houses. The Knights, a troop of professional delivery drivers, are entrusted with delivering goods and protecting them from theft.

Kim Woo Bin is making his Netflix debut. Previously, the prominent model and actor appeared in films such as The Heirs and School 2013. He’ll also be seen in the Netflix Korean drama Our Blues.

Esom has only acted in five dramas since her acting debut in 2010, with Black Knight being her first for Netflix and sixth overall.

Only a few cast members for Black Knight have been disclosed thus far. More information is expected to be released in the following months.
