A picture taken with members of SEVENTEEN and BTS’s Jungkook was posted on HYBE’s Instagram account. In the lobby before the SEVENTEEN concerts in Seoul, this photo shows Jungkook posing with the band members. In his Instagram story, Jungkook also captured the full audience’s perspective of the SEVENTEEN concert venue.
THE8 of SEVENTEEN also shared selfies with members of NCT/WayV and Jungkook. Such a nice assortment in one frame! On June 25 and 26, SEVENTEEN performed in Seoul as part of their third global tour, “SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [BE THE SUN],” at Gocheok Sky Dome. For over four hours, nobody could take their eyes off the performance that they gave, and the crowd added fuel with their raucous cheers and acclaim.
A total of thirteen people make up SEVENTEEN: S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino. The group made their debut on May 26, 2015, with the extended play (EP) “17 Carat,” which went on to become the longest-charting K-pop album in the US of the year and the only debut album to make Billboard’s list of the “10 Best K-Pop Albums of 2015.” Twelve EPs, two reissues, and four studio albums have all been released by SEVENTEEN.
With the members actively engaging in composition, choreography, and many other facets of their music and performances, SEVENTEEN is regarded as a “self-producing” idol group. Each of the three divisions—hip-hop, vocal, and performance—performs as a single entity yet each has a distinct area of expertise. Various local and foreign media outlets have referred to them as “Performance Kings,” “Theater Kids of K-Pop,” and “K-Pop Performance Powerhouse.”
