Shilpa Shetty will be returning to the dance reality show, Super Dancer Chapter 4. Shilpa, who was seen as a judge on the show took a break from it after her husband Raj Kundra got arrested by Mumbai Police as a key conspirator in connection to the reported creation of pornographic films and publishing them through some apps. After his arrest, Shilpa skipped the shoot for almost three weeks.
Post that, media reports suggested that the actress might be replaced by the show. However, a source close to the show has now confirmed that the actress is indeed returning to the dance reality show and will resume her duties as the show judge. Shilpa has already begun the shoot.
Shilpa Shetty has been a judge of the show along with filmmaker Anurag Basu and choreographer Geeta Kapur. She has been associated with the reality show since the beginning and has judged its four seasons. In her short absence, this season, popular celebrities like actress Karisma Kapoor, star couple Ritesh Deshmukh, Genelia D’Souza, and actors Moushumi Chatterjee and Sonali Bendre filled in as guest judges.
Talking about the pornography case, the FIR was registered against Raj Kundra after a woman approached to the Mumbai police in February 2021 and made certain allegations in her complaint. On that basis, the FIR was registered, and further, the case was transferred to the Crime Branch.
Raj was booked under IPC Sections 34 (common intention), 420 (cheating), 292, and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays), and relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, he said.
Shilpa recently made her comeback in the films, through her latest digital release on Disney Plus Hotstar ‘Hungama 2.’ The romantic comedy film also starred Paresh Rawal, Meezaan Jaffrey, and Pranitha Subhash in the lead roles.
