Following the popular drama series Crash Landing on You, their relationship began. Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin, two well-known actors from Korean dramas, may now anticipate the arrival of a new child into their life.
The 40-year-old Son announced that her and her husband are expecting their first child in an Instagram post.
She asked: “Is everyone doing well? in the caption of a picture of wildflowers in the sun. I am doing OK. I have some happy news to share with you today. We (Hyun and I) now lead new lives.
“Even though I’m still in a haze, I can feel the thrill and concern in my body changing every day. I’m grateful that I couldn’t tell anyone yet, but I’m also cautious about doing so. Before it’s too late, I’m passing this information along to friends and admirers who have been anticipating this news just as much as we have.
“We’ll safeguard this priceless life that has been given to us. I want everyone to secure the important things in their lives that they need to safeguard and to maintain good health.
Son and Hyun, both 39, initially became friends while filming the 2018 suspense film The Negotiation, in which they portrayed hostage-takers and crisis negotiators, respectively.
However, their performance as the South Korean heiress Yoon Se-ri and the North Korean army captain Ri Jeong-hyeok in the 2019–2020 television series Crash Landing on You made them famous as a duo.
The duo, whose on-screen relationship sent many fans into a frenzy, revealed last year that they had been dating since before the blockbuster drama series’ production came to an end. They were wed earlier this year in a secret ceremony.
Son’s management company MS Team Entertainment denied rumors of her pregnancy in late May, according to the Korean entertainment website Soompi. Fans had begun to speculate that she had a baby bulge after posting a number of pictures to Instagram.
“If there is positive news, we will be the first to formally notify you,” the agency pledged at the time.
It appears that Son got there first, but we can’t hold it against her. We can sense the expecting mother’s delight from here since it is so obvious.
