Tanya Maniktala on her character in Feels Like Ishq; says “dreamy and pragmatic”

Actress Tanya Maniktala, who has got her breakthrough last year has in Mira Nair’s A Suitable Boy has recently opened up about her career and latest release.  Her performance in an adaptation of Vikram Seth’s 1993 novel ‘A Suitable Boy’, has brought her into limelight and fans loved her splendid acting as she played the lead role of Lata Mehra in the web series. The actress in an interview with PTI mentioned that she don’t she wants to push herself as an artiste with holding back in fear.

“As an actor, I want to now grow as much as I can and tap into my full potential. The pressure has increased, but I want to channelise it into something that will bring out the productive side in me and not in a way that will dismantle my peace of mind,” said Maniktala.

Maniktala is featured in Jaydeep Sarkar’s directed Feels Like Ishq, which is a short chronicles that follows the young adults, who get down in emotions and finds someone in the most unexpected way as they form the love connections. In the short stories Maniktala will be portraying the role of Mehr a spirited activist, wherein Skand Thakur will play the role of Kabir, a privileged teen. The actress spoke on the series and said that she is grateful for the opportunities that she has taken up.

Speaking about same, Maniktala said, “Romance needs a lot of love. Not just from the actors or the director, but the entire team. We were fortunate to have a great team. All of us clicked with each other, everything just fell into place. Amidst all the chaos we were filming on the roads, losing light everything felt perfect. Today, interesting opportunities like this are coming my way, and I’m grateful I have gotten a chance to work with such interesting, wonderful people. Adding about her character in Feels Like Ishq, the actress said, “dreamy and pragmatic”. “I have been wanting to play a character like this.”
