Tara Sutaria made a dream start in Dharma Productions’ Student of The Year 2, and she’s been progressively establishing herself in the business since then. Marjaavaan, her second picture, was a commercial success, and now the young actress is preparing for Tadap, her third feature.
Tara, who had no previous ties in Bollywood, now feels at home there. “I didn’t know anyone when I first got to Bollywood,” she recalls. This is a world that is vastly different from the one we grew up in. But I’ve made some incredible friends who I plan to keep in touch with in the future. Fortunately, Ananya (Panday) and Tiger (Shroff) were in my first film, and they became fast friends with me. In the previous year and a half, I’ve developed my own equations and relationships with everyone, and, as you mentioned, I’ve had a lot stronger feeling of belonging.
Tadap is an official Hindi version of the Telugu film RX 100, and it also stars Ahan Shetty, Suneil Shetty’s son. Tara is well aware that the film will be remembered as the start of the starkid’s career. “He is totally deserving of all of your attention. In the movie, he truly shines. My character, on the other hand, is extremely strong and forceful and cannot be hushed. “We’ve all put in a lot of effort on the film, so we’re really confident in both of our roles,” she explains.
“Everyone continues talking about it, but I don’t detect any competitiveness with my contemporaries,” Tara says when asked about her thoughts on competition. I don’t believe any of us feel that way. There has never been a competition in my house since I grew up with strong women who were open-minded.
