Richa Chadha in an interview recently shared that the entire cast wore all real jewellry and the cost of the same ran upto to crores of rupees.
In an interview with Sucharita Tyagi, Richa Chadha shared that it was indeed a beautiful experience to work on this series. Talking about the jewellery, she said, “Yes, all the jewellery is genuine. If I wore all of it and ran away, I could probably produce another film of my own with the cumulative worth.”
Richa Chaddha plays the role of Lajjo and her role has been highly appreciated.
Not only the jewels, but the lavish costumes deserve a special mention. Designed by Rimple- Harpreet Narula couture, the clothes are breathtakingly beautiful and apt.
Rimple, the designer, shared, “Bhansali ji always made us a part of the shoots whenever we could travel from Delhi to Mumbai. He wants you to be a part of the entire journey. The final look was everyone’s vision pulled together.”
Heeramandi is a period drama based on the life of the red-light districts of Lahore in the British era.
