After Tokyo Olympics 2020, India is creating history at Paralympics too. Javelin thrower Sumit Antil set a World Record at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics winning another gold medal for India.
Monday (August 30) is a historic day for the entire nation as two para-athletes bagged a gold medal on the same day. Avani Lekhara bagged gold in 10m air rifle standing at the Paralympics.
As Sumit Antil won the gold medal, celebrities including Ajay Devgn,, Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Raveena Tandon, Ananya Panday among others took to their social media accounts and congratulated Sumit for his big win.
Ajay Devgn applauded the athletes who have bagged a medal. The actor wrote, “Congratulations to Sumit Antil for a record-breaking golden throw in #Paralympics. Yet another proud moment for all of us. #SumitAntil #TokyoParalympics #Tokyo2020” On the other hand, Akshay who also keeps acknowledging their win on social media, tweeted, “Yet another #Gold for India! Akshay Kumar took to Twitter and congratulated Sumit Until for his win. He tweeted, “Yet another #Gold for India! Heartiest congratulations #SumitAntil on the record-breaking throw. What a brilliant performance. We are so proud of you. #Paralympics #Tokyo2020.”
Evergreen actor Anil Kapoor wrote, “Another gold for India!! Congratulations #SumitAntil!!! #TokyoParalympics.” Ananya Panday shared a post on her Instagram stories.

Meanwhile, after the win, President Of India, Ram Nath Kovind tweeted, “Sumit Antil’s historic performance in the javelin throw at the #Paralympics is a moment of great pride for the country. Congratulations on winning the gold and setting a new world record. Every Indian is elated to hear the national anthem at the podium. You’re a true champion!”
Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi also took to Twitter and wrote, “Our athletes continue to shine at the #Paralympics!
