Varun Dhawan did not capitalise Anushka Sharma’s character’s name in Sui Dhaaga, which irritated Anushka Sharma.

Sui Dhaaga, the film starring Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan, has been out for three years. Varun uploaded several movie-related pictures on Instagram on Tuesday, but they offended Anushka.

“It was a dream come true to collaborate on this picture with the entire cast and crew. In his Instagram Stories post, he tagged Anushka and said, “Hope MAUJI and Mamta will always be in your hearts.” Anushka, on the other hand, was not pleased by the fact that he did not capitalise Mamta’s name.

Please excuse me, sir! “Why is Mamta’s name not in caps?” she wondered as she reposted his Instagram Story. Varun immediately made apologies by spray-painting the post with a huge ‘MAMTA’ in all capitals.

In 2018, Sui Dhaaga was released. It was directed by Sharat Katariya, who also directed Dum Laga Ke Haisha, and stars Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan as a married couple attempting to make a living and live a self-sufficient existence. He is a tailor, and she is his business-minded, supportive wife who assists him in starting his own business.

In 2018, Anushka appeared in four films in a row: Pari, Sui Dhaaga, Sanju, and Zero. She has not, however, disclosed any new projects since then. In 2019, she told Hindustan Times, “The previous three years have been quite stressful for me.” It takes a lot of energy to complete Pari, Sui Dhaaga, and Zero in a year. The three parts were quite different from one another, and I had to put in a lot of effort to get inside the characters’ heads. So now is the moment to pick up the phone.”

As a producer, she’s been quite busy. Audiences and reviewers alike praised her show Paatal Lok and film Bulbbul last year. She is presently producing Qala, a film starring Irrfan Khan’s son Babil and actress Triptii Dimri.
