A remake of a south Indian movie that starred R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi, this new Saif Ali Khan and Hrithik Roshan starrer comes with immense hope and expectations. This movie has released in around 4007 screens in the domestic market alone and is the next big release post Brahmastra starring Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor.

The movie took a lukewarm start on Friday and collected Rs. 10.58 crores on its opening day. The two day total of the movie stands at Rs.24 crores and a target of Rs.40 crores is set for the weekend.

The movie faced a clash with Ponniyin Selvan 1 at the box office. Talking about the clash the movie’s director said, “Ponniyin Selvan is a classic text, a tale of unique set during the Chola Empire. You can’t beat that. It’s a six-volume book that I read back in the day. That text has been an inspiration for every writer coming out of Chennai. We do our part and they have done theirs. Let’s hope people go and watch both the movies.”

Currently, with positive reviews, a good word of mouth and the festivities in the air, the movie is expected to do good business.

War- Rs. 53.35 cr

Bang Bang- Rs. 27.54 cr

Krrish 3- Rs.25.50 cr
