Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is among those celebrities who always stepped forward to help the country at the time of crisis. On multiple occasions, he has showed how much he loves his country and proved that, he not only have big bank balance but also have a bigger heart.

As the country in the middle of a pandemic and the situation is getting worse with each day, Akshay went out of his way and donated Rs. 1 crore to Gautam Gambhir foundation to help the people fighting with covid-19 with food, medicines and oxygen cylinders.  

Indian politician and former cricketer, Gautam Gambhir took to twitter and revealed that Akshay has donated Rs 1 crore to his foundation. He tweeted, “Every help in this gloom comes as a ray of hope. Thanks a lot @akshyakumar for committing Rs 1 crore to #GGF for food, meds and oxygen for the needy! God bless #InThisTogether @ggf_india.”

Ram Setu actor replied to Gautam Gambhir on twitter and wished the crisis ends soon. He wrote, “These are really tough times, @GautamGambhir. Glad I could help. Wish we all get out of this crisis soon. Stay safe.”

Akshay is among those celebrities who always come forward to help in crisis. In 2020, he donated Rs 25 crore to PM cares fund for corona virus relief and Rs 2 crore to Mumbai Police Foundation. Not only this, he had also donated Rs 1 crore each to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief fund and Kaziranga Park rescue mission when the state was affected by floods. 

Earlier, Akshay donated Rs 1 crore for the Chennai flood relief work back in 2015. He also contributed to Cyclone Fani in Odisha by donating Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief fund to help cyclone victims. 

Akshay Kumar helped families of the CRPF jawans who sacrificed their lives in Pulwama terror attack. He donated Rs 15 lakhs to a martyred jawan’s family and even urged his fans to do the same.
