Shocking and heartbreaking news, senior journalist and prominent Kannada actor Suresh Chandra passes away due to covid-19 complications on Friday afternoon, June 11. As per the reports, Suresh was admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru for the past few weeks and he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to death. He is survived by his wife and two children.

A well-known Kannada industry, Suresh Chandra has acted in more than 50 Kannada films and is remembered for portraying the negative role in blockbuster hits, Cheluvina Chittara and Ugramm. He has also remembered for his roles in films like Kichcha Huccha, Rana, Shyloo, Junglee, Kalidasa Kannada Meshtru, and Appayya. He began his career as a journalist before entering the cinema world.

The actor was last seen in Kalidasa Kannada Meshtru in 2019. The film was a wake-up call for the nation about the state of our education system as it revolves around a teacher, who raises his voice against the education system. The film was directed by Kaviraj.  

Chandra’s death has left his family and fraternity people in a state of shock. Due to the ongoing pandemic, many Kannada celebs have succumbed to death due to covid-19 namely Renuka Sharma, Mastan, Srinivas, Naveen Kumar, Chandra, Shankanaanda Aravind, Mastan, and producer Ramu.
