Veteran actress Shabana Azmi took to Twitter on Thursday, June 24 to reveal that she has been tricked in an online payment scam. The actress placed an order for alcohol and despite paying the amount for her ordered item, she didn’t receive the delivery.
Shabana Azmi took to Twitter on Thursday to alert her fans and followers about an online payment scam. Taking to Twitter, she wrote, “BEWARE I have been cheated by them. #Living Liquidz I paid upfront and when the ordered item didn’t turn up they stopped picking up my calls! I paid Account no.919171984427 IFSC- PYTM0123456 Name living liquids Paytm payment bank.“
Twitter users replied that 99% of numbers on Google are fake
Twitter users informed the veteran actress, replying to her tweet, that the majority of the phone numbers on Google for alcohol delivery are fake. While a few other users advised her to register a police complaint.
Replying to Shabana Azmi’s tweet, one of the users wrote, “Madam on Google the numbers displayed are fake. For 99% of liquor stores. Living liquids didn’t con you but usual cons pulled a fast one to Rob you. Plz file a police complaint & raise awareness on this issue wherein thousands of people have got robbed of their hard-earned money.”
Another user enquired if the alcohol scam is going on in Mumbai city. The tweet read, “@Lokhandwala_Bom is this the alcohol store scam that has spread all over in Mumbai?”
“There is a fake number /guys in the name of Living Liquidz, I know 3 cases of cheating by the same number one of which 42K was lost,” wrote another user.
