British novelist Agatha Christie’s ‘The Sittaford Mystery’ is set for its India version. It will stream on SonyLiv and the series will be directed and co-produced by Vishal Bhardwaj.
It is titled ‘Charlie Chopra and The Mystery of Solang Valley’ and it has a stellar cast which includes Naseeruddin Shah, Neena Gupta, Ratna Pathak Shah, Gulshan Grover, Lara Dutta, Wamiqa Gabbi and Priyanshu Painyuli. The official brief for the same is, “Set in the snow-capped mountains of Himachal Pradesh, the series will follow the journey of Charlie Chopra and her quest to uncover a deep mystery.”
Vishal says, “I grew up devouring all Agatha Christie mysterious tales. Her plots, characters and setting remain unparalleled in the genre and continue to excite storytellers even today.” He adds, “It has been an incredible journey collaborating with James Richard, great grandson of Agatha Christie, who always brought unique perspectives to our team.
