The Kashmir Files is a wonderful movie and has won the Best Film Award at the esteemed Dadasaheb Phalke Awards.

The filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri took to Twitter and said, “This award is dedicated to all the victims of terrorism and to all the people of India for your blessings.”

Congratulations and good wishes poured in from all over. One fan wrote, “Congratulations. You deserve it. What a Direction. Keep making such eye opener movies.”

The movie is a heart-breaking tale that captures the pain, suffering and struggle of the Kashmiri Pandit community in 1990. It has done tremendous business at the box office. The movie features Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Kumar and Bhasha Sumbli.

Anupam Kher got the Most Versatile Actor of the year award for ‘The Kashmir Files.’ Alia Bhatt won the Best Actress for the movie ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and Ranbir Kapoor lifted the trophy for the ‘Best Actor’. Rekha was honored for her ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Film Industry.’
