BTS, or Bangatan Boys, is a South Korean boy band comprised of seven members: Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. BTS ARMY, the South Korean sensation’s fan base, is extremely protective of them. BTS ARMY recently retaliated against Jimmy Kimmel, the host of the late-night TV show Jimmy Kimmel, for comparing the BTS to the Covid-19 virus.

The event occurred following a recent edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC, in which Jimmy was hosting Ashley Park of “Emily in Paris” fame as a guest. During their talk, Ashley confessed that she is a big fan of BTS and that she was surprised to speak with them following Emily’s success in Season 2 of Emily in Paris.

When BTS came on Jimmy’s program, he talked about how the ARMY, or BTS supporters, camped outside the studio. “When BTS came on our program, their fans camped out, and their supporters are probably out in the parking lot waiting for the next time they come on,” he said. They’re completely insane.” He also stated that you must be wary of the ARMY, since they are capable of attacking. “Then you won’t get assaulted,” Jimmy commented when Ashley revealed that she is a member of the ARMY.

“So, it was BTS fever,” the TV program presenter added in response to Ashley Park’s positive test for the Omicron version of Covid-19. They’re both extremely deadly, and you’re lucky if you get it out alive.”

Jimmy’s racist statements and sexism towards their favorite Bangatan Boys have infuriated the BTS ARMY. Fans are outraged that Jimmy can equate an Asian known artist to something as hazardous as COVID on a TV show in front of an Asian woman.

For the time being, though, neither BTS nor Jimmy Kimmel have offered a remark on the subject.
