Ever heard about K-pop band EXO? Well, if not then let us tell you that EXO is one of the most popular K-Pop bands from South Korea. This Korean-Chinese boy band includes nine members: Xiumin, Suho, Lay, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai and Sehun. EXO band is already known as Kings of K-pop and they have released their music tracks in Korean, Japanese and Mandarin languages. There are two sub-groups: EXO-M and EXO-K.

Suho

Kim Jun-myeon better known as suho that means “strength”. Debuted with S.M Entertainment in 2006 and trained over 7 years. Suho was the first member to join EXO and he decided to separate the band in two sub groups EXO-M and EXO-K.

Xiumin

Xiumin is the oldest member of EXO and he has various nicknames are Bao Zi (Little Bun) and Mandoo, King of Detail. This cute chubby-face guy is professionally trained in martial arts in taekwondo.

Lay

Do you know? Lay is an author of his self-penned autobiography “Standing Firm at 24”. His book was the best-selling of the year and broke several book records. He speaks Chinese, Korean and English fluently. Lay has ranked 18^th in “The 100 Most Handsome Faces of 2018”.

Baekhyun

Debuted with SM Entertainment in 2011 and widely popular as “Bacon”. He likes to watch action movies and his favorite color is black and grey. He had acted in various Korean dramas. Baekhyun was in a relationship with Taeyeon from Girl’s Generation’s for almost 14 years.

Chen

Kim Jong Dae better known as Chen. Chen is the main vocalist of EXO. Chen likes to play guitar and his close friend in the band is Xiumin. He practices singing and dancing regularly. Chen was the last member to join EXO-M.

Chanyeol

Chanyeol is the member of EXO-K and debuted with SM Entertainment in 2008 and acted in the Korean drama: “To The Beautiful You”. He speaks English. He himself confessed that he is the cry baby among EXO members.

D.O.

His real name is Do Kyung Soo and he debuted with SM Entertainment in 2010. He likes cooking and he cooks for other members of EXO also. D.O. knows basic English and a specialist in beat boxing, singing as well as in acting.

Kai

Kai has the shortest temper among other members of EXO and has bad habit of nails biting. He is a good friend with Jimin from BTS. Kai has 3 pet dogs. Also he likes to play video games and soccer.

Sehun

Born in South Korea on 12^th April 1994 and debuted with SM Entertainment in 2008. Sehun is the main dancer and rapper of EXO. Sehun ranked 15^th in “The 100 Most Handsome Faces of 2018”.

K-pop is popular music originated in South Korea. The term K-Pop includes multiple music styles and genres from around the world, such as rock, jazz, folk, EDM, hip-hop and classical on top of its traditional music roots. The H.O.T. was first K-Pop idol group to exist which made its debut in 1996.

BTS

Who doesn’t know BTS? The band also known as Bangtang Boys and is very popular for their music. This group has seven members Suga, V, Jimin, Jungkook, Jin, J-Hope and RM. BTS was the first K-pop group who performed at the American Music Awards and won a Billboard Music Award. Some of them are composers, rappers, vocalist and main dancers of BTS. BTS was the first band to cross 10 million followers on twitter after a South Korean act.

EXO

EXO, the band was formed by S M entertainment in 2011 and debuted in 2012 with 12 members. Later on, the band divided into two sub-groups EXO-K and EXO-M.The band ranked as one of the top five most influential celebrities on the Forbes Korea Power Celebrity list from 2014 to 2018 and widely known as the”Kings of K-pop” and the “Largest boyband in the world” by various media outlets. EXO band have performed over 100 concerts and won various music awards.

BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK is South Korean girls’ band formed by the YG Entertainment and debuted in 2016.  The band includes four members: Jisoo, Jennie, Rose, and Lisa. BLACKPINK is also known as superpower in the K-Pop industry. BLACKPINK is the highest-ranking female Korean act on the Billboard Hot 100, and another collaborated with Selena Gomez “Ice Cream” (2020), and on the Billboard 200, raked at the no. two with The Album (2020),  Earlier this year, their music track “How You Like That” broke records of the most viewed music video on YouTube.

SEVENTEEN

SEVENTEEN is a group of 13 members S. Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, Vernon and Dino. The band was formed by Pledis Entertainment and debuted in 2015. This group is separated into the three teams Vocal, Hip-Hop and Performance. Besides singing, they are involved in composing and producing their own choreography and song writing. Their recent single “Don’t Wanna Cry,” has received huge popularity among audience. SEVENTEEN is also known as SVT and “self-producing” idol group.

MONSTA X

Monsta X is another South Korean band formed by Starship Entertainment and debuted on 14th May 2015 with their first album “Tresspass”. It is a group of seven members: Minhyuk, Shownu, Wonho, Hyungwon, Kihyun, Joohoney, and I.M. “The Clan”, this was their first studio album which took the number one place on Billboard’s World Albums in the US. According to the rumors, Wonho decided to leave this group.  In February 2020, they have released their first English album, All About Luv, which was ranked on number five on the US Billboard 200.

In case you are not aware of this band, there’s a South Korean K-pop group taking the music world to the next level. Formed by YG Entertainment, Blackpink is all about the mixed genres of music. The group has four main members Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa. The girls are not only famous for their music, but also for their amazing fashion styles.

Jisoo

One of the four members, Jisoo’s real name is Kim Ji-soo. The singer made her debut in 2016 with Blackpink. The singer and actress can speak both Japanese and Chinese.  Jisoo majorly made headlines for her brand endorsements like Kiss Me and Dior Beauty.

Jennie

Jennie’s real name is Jennie Kim. She is a singer as well as rapper. Before coming back to South Korea, the singer studied in New Zealand for five years when she was young. In 2019, the rapper was named the first Korean vocalist to perform at Coachella. Jennie is a brand ambassador for a fashion brand named Chanel and has done campaigns for Adidas Originals, Hera, CK and Samsung.

Rose

Roseanne Park, better known as Rose is a main vocalist of the band. The 23-year old singer was born in New Zealand and grew up in Australia. Recently, Rose has been named a global ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent.

Lisa

Born in Pranpriya Manoban, Lisa is the most followed band member on Instagram. The rapper and a very good dancer can speak Thai, English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese. Moonshot, AIS Thailand, Samsung and Adidas are some of the main brands from her campaign list. She is a brand ambassador for Bulgari and MAC.
