Tamil senior actor Chelladurai passes away as the age of 84 in Chennai

Kollywood senior actor RSG Chelladurai died on Thursday evening, April 29 at his home in Chennai. He was 84. Chelladurai was reportedly found unconscious in the bathroom. As per the statement released, he died of cardiac arrest.

 He was known for his supporting roles and made his mark through several performances. He had appeared in more than 100 films and was a part of films like Maari, Theri, Kaththi, Sivaji among others. 

Chelladurai’s death came as a huge shock in the film industry. Many of his friends, co-stars and colleagues took to social media to pay their last respects.

Actor Arjunan took to twitter and wrote, “Had an opportunity to work with such a senior actor in #Tik Tik Tik.. RIP #Chelladurai thathaa..”

“I worked with him in a film. At the age of 80 he would walk faster and climb steps like an adult. He advised us to take care of our health during hectic shoot times. Such a strong and spirited actor. RIP Chelladurai Aiyya”, tweeted actor Rathna Kumar.    

Actor Kathir tweeted, “Test in peace ayya”, while Balaji Mohan wrote, “RIP Chelladurai Ayya” on twitter.

Actress Hina Khan is going through difficult times. She lost her father due to cardiac arrest and post that she got tested positive of novel corona virus. The actress was close to her dad and use to share fun videos with her dad on her Instagram account. In the loving memory of her father, Hina has added ‘Daddy’s Strong Girl’ in her Instagram bio. 

On April 20, Hina Khan lost her father, as her father suffered a massive cardiac arrest. She took to her Instagram few days later and thanked everybody for their support and love during the tough time. The actress also informed that her team will be managing her Instagram handle as she mourns the loss of her father.

She added, “My beloved father Aslam Khan left for heavenly abode on April 20. I am grateful to each one of you for checking in on me and my family during these tough times. While me and my family are mourning the loss, my social media accounts will be handled by my team for upcoming work commitments. Thank you for your support and love.”

After a few days, post her father death actress Hina Khan got tested positive for Covid-19 on April 26 and is under home quarantined.

Hina Khan’s team posted a note on her official Instagram stating, “In these extremely difficult and challenging times for me and my family, I have tested positive for Covid-19. Following the guidance of my doctors, I have home quarantined myself and taking all necessary precautions. Requesting everyone who came in contact with me to get themselves tested. All I need is your prayers. Be safe and take care.”

Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan remembered their actor uncle Rishi Kapoor on his first death anniversary. The Kapoor sisters shared throwback pictures of the late actor on social media on his death anniversary. 

Karisma  Kapoor took to Instagram stories and shared an old picture of her uncle Rishi Kapoor as she remembers him today. She added a heart emoji as she shares his picture.

Kareena Kapoor too took to Instagram stories and shared a throwback black and white picture of young Rishi Kapoor from his early industry days and added a heart emoji to her post.

Rishi Kapoor passed away last year on April 30 at the age of 67 after battling with cancer for two long years. He was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018 after which he flew to New York for his treatment along with wife Neetu Kapoor.

After successful treatment he returned to India in September 2019. In 2020, in last week of April he was hospitalized to Sir H.N.Relaince Foundation Hospital owing to breathing difficulties and on April 30 he breathed his last.

Bollywood star couple Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover are celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary. The couple never shy away to share love filled romantic posts on social media. Today, April 30 as they celebrate their special occasion they had something special for each other.

The Bong beauty Bipasha Basu took to her Instagram stories and shared a happy picture from their wedding day and wrote a message for her husband. She wrote, “Happy 5th #monkeyversary my love. You are my everything @iamksgofficial.”  

Karan reshared Bipasha’s post on his Instagram story and wrote, “And you are my everything.”

Many celebrities and their friends also took to social media to extend the wishes to the couple. Television actress Arrti Singh took to her Instagram stories and shared a romantic photo of the couple and wrote, “Happy 5th anniversary to the bandarrrssssss @bipashabasu @iamksgofficial Love you both….. sachhhhhhh hai.”

The couple often shares loved filled post on their respective accounts. Karan recently, posted a cute sunkissed video of his wife on a song crazy by Aerosmith and captioned it as, “#crazyforyou #monkeylove”

Bipasha and Karan tied the knot in the complete Bengali tradition in an intimate affair on April 30, 2016. They were last seen together in a crime thriller web series, Dangerous streamed on MX player. The series was directed by Bhushan Patel and written by Vikram Bhatt.

Global star Priyanka Chopra Jonas along with singer husband Nick Jonas came together and posted another video on social media urging the global community to help India during the Covid-19 crisis by donating as per the capacity.

The couple emphasized that how the health care system is at a breaking point and how much an individual support will matter. Priyanka has set up a fund raiser GiveIndia, an organization providing Covid relief in the country. 

In the video, Priyanka can be heard saying, “Over the past month we have seen the sudden rise and ravaging effects of Covid-19 as it has blazed in unrelenting parts across India.

Further in the video Nick added, “The magnitude is staggering. So much is needed right now to stop the spread of this dreaded disease. Priyanka continues, “Even as the medics learn more about the virus, the threat continues to loom.”

Then later Nick continues, “Over the past few weeks, millions of Indian unleashed the power of social media to do good and that is so inspiring. Priyanka added, “We are appealing to you all to contribute towards the health care system which is at a breaking point right now.”

They concluded their video by saying, “contribute to the fundraiser because we are #TogetherForIndia.”

Priyanka Chopra in an earlier video informed that the funds will directly go towards the healthcare system including covid care centers, isolation centers, oxygen generation plants, medical equipments, vaccine support and mobilization.

Kollywood film director and cinematographer KV Anand, who passed away today morning due to massive heart attack was covid-19 positive. As per the latest report, Anand was diagnosed with novel corona virus and his mortal remains have been handed over to the corporation officials for cremation. His body is taken to Besant Nagar crematorium in Chennai. Anand’s family members were allowed to pay homage only for a while.

His wife and daughter were tested positive for the virus two week ago and they quarantined themselves after consulting to the doctor. In this while, the filmmaker developed breathlessness and chest pain. As per the latest report, due to covid-19 complications, he suffered a massive heart attack.

KV Anand started his career as a journalist, then in 1990s he became a cinematographer. He was known for his work in Tamil films like Kana Kandaen, Ayan, Maattrraan, Anegan, Kavan among others. He won the National Film Award for Best cinematography in 1994 for his debut film as cinematography, Thenmavin Kombath. He is known to be the founding member of Indian society of Cinematographers. 

KV Anand’s last film as a director was ‘Kaappaan’ which was an action-thriller released in 2019. The movie starred Suriya, Mohanlal and Arya in the lead and was produced by Subaskaran Allirajah.

Kollywood filmmaker and cinematographer KV Anand died of massive cardiac arrest today, April 30 morning at a private hospital in Chennai. Tamil superstar Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan took to social media to pay their last respects to the late director. 

Superstar Rajnikanth, who is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film in Hyderabad, took to twitter to condole the death of ace director and cinematographer. He tweeted in Tamil which is translated as, “The demise of the respected KV Anand is shocking and painful; My deepest condolences to his family who lost him. May his soul rest in peace.”

Kamal Haasan also took to twitter to pay his condolences to the filmmaker KV Anand. His tweet can be loosely translated as, “KV Anand, who started his career as a photographer in magazines, has established himself as an outstanding cinematographer and director due to his unwavering dedication. His demise is a huge loss to cinema. My heartfelt condolences.”

KV Anand untimely death has sent shock waves in the industry, which is still mourning the death of actor Vivek.

KV Anand felt chest pain last night and managed to drove himself to the hospital to get it checked. However, he suffered a massive cardiac arrest and passed away around 3 am today morning. His body will be moved in Adyar at his home where people can be pay their last respects.

On April 30, 2020 the 67 year old actor Rishi Kapoor breathed his last at 8.45 am after battling with cancer for 2 long years.  Today, on his first death anniversary his family pens an emotional note on social media remembering him.

Actress Neetu Kapoor, wife of actor Rishi Kapoor shared a monochromatic picture on her Instagram account with her husband and shared a note as she remembers him on his first death anniversary. 

Neetu Kapoor wrote, “All of last year has been of grief and sadness around the world for us maybe more as we lost him… Not a day has gone by when we have not discussed or reminisced with him as he was an extension of our existence.. sometimes his wise advice: his wise cracks, his anecdotes!! We have celebrated him all year with a smile on the lips as he weill stay in our hearts forever, we have accepted life will never be the same without him !!!! But life will go on…. #rishikapoor”

Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, daughter of Rishi Kapoor shared a collage of two pictures with dad along with a note and remembered him on his first death anniversary.

She wrote, “If only I could hear you call me mushk once more… “Until we meet again we think about you always, we talk about you still, you have never been forgotten, and you never will. We hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain, to walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again. – Dorothy Mae Cavendish. I love you always.”

Rishi Kapoor flew to New York for his treatment in 2018 and in the following year returned to Mumbai with his wife. In 2020, his last rites were performed in Mumbai. Due to nationwide lockdown imposed his daughter Riddhima Kapoor couldn’t attend his funeral as she lives in Delhi.

Filmmaker and cinematographer KV Anand passes away at the age of 54 due to cardiac arrest in Chennai early morning today, April 30.

Anand was known for his work in Tamil films like Kana Kandaen, Ayan, Maattrraan, Anegan, Kavan, Kaappaa among others. He won the National Film Award for Best cinematography in 1994 for his debut film as a cinematography, Thenmavin Kombath. 

Celebrities took to social media to pay their tribute to the ace filmmaker and director as his untimely death sent a shock wave in the film industry.  

“Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts K.V. Anand sir you will be missed forever. Prayers for the departed soul. Pranams”, wrote actor Mohanlal.  

Actor Allu Arujen tweeted, “Just woke up to this sad news that Dir KV Anand garu is no more. Wonderful cameraman, brilliant director and very nice gentleman. Sir you will always be remembered and missed. Condolences to the near, dear and family. Rest in Peace Sir #KVAnand.”

Music director Harris Jayaraj wrote on Twitter, “Unfortunate and extremely shocking to hear this devastating news. RIP my friend KV Anand.”

Actor Gautham Karthik tweeted, “We’ve lost a wonderful creator. #KVAnand sir you rest in peace. My condolences to the family.”

“Rest in peace K.V. Anand sir! You played a way more important role in my career than you will ever realize. Indian cinema will miss you forever! Heartbroken!”, tweeted Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Bollywood veteran actor Randhir Kapoor has been hospitalized to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai after testing positive of novel corona virus on Thursday. 

Dr Santosh Shetty, CEO and Executive Director, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, released a statement and mentioned, “Veteran actor Shri Randhir Kapoor is admitted to Kokilaben Ambani Hospital Mumbai for Covid-19 treatment last night and his condition is stable. 

The 74 year old actor was recently spotted along with his elder daughter Kaisma Kapoor at Kareena Kapoor house for celebrating his wife Babita’s birthday bash.

Randhir was recently in news after the Bombay High Court asked him and his sister Rima Jain to submit the divorce paper of younger brother, late Rajiv Kapoor, in a property related case.  

He is the eldest son of legendary actor Raj Kapoor. Randhir’s two younger brothers Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor died in a span of a year. Rishi Kapoor (67) died a year ago on April 30 after battling with cancer while Rajiv Kapoor (58) died of heart attack earlier this year. 

Randhir Kapoor is known for his performances in films such as Kal Aaj Aur Kal, Jeet, Lafange, Raampur Ka Lakshman Haath Ki Safai.
