This Diwali, watch ‘Dhamaka’ vs. ‘Hum Do Hamare Do.’

0

Despite the Maharashtra government’s intention to restore cinemas in the state prompting numerous studios to line up their Bollywood movies for the big screen, OTT releases are far from obsolete. Take, for example, Diwali. Makers have set the holiday season as the debut date for their films on digital platforms. On that day, both Dhamaka and Hum Do Hamare Do are expected to be released.

The rights to Kartik Aaryan’s Dhamaka were purchased by Netflix in April, so we knew it would be a Netflix-only release. There were rumours that the film will be released on Netflix in September, but it appears that director Ram Madhvani and Netflix have opted to capitalise on the Diwali holiday. While there is no official confirmation, Aaryan just published a mood trailer.

Kriti Sanon and Rajkummar Rao, on the other hand, are reuniting for Hum Do Hamare Do after Bareilly Ki Barfi. Abhishek Jain is directing the family drama, which was unveiled in February this year and is financed by Mahaveer Jain and Dinesh Vijan. This film will be available on Disney+ Hotstar, according to LetsOTT Global. Sanon started promoting herself as #BossLady yesterday.

Releases for the big screen This Diwali, the theatres will not be silent.

In non-pandemic years, the second part of the year is generally highly profitable for filmmakers. Seasonal events such as Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas, and New Year have traditionally drawn huge releases. Distributors and exhibitors are pleased that big-budget films like as Sooryavanshi and Bunty Aur Babli 2 would be released on or near Diwali this year. Rajinikanth’s Annaatthe and Marvel’s Eternals have also booked the popular time period.

Aaryan is booked and occupied with several tasks when it comes to Dhamaka. He just revealed the release date for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, his highly awaited horror comedy. The film, directed by Anees Bazmee, will be released in March 2022. Sanon’s films Ganapath, Adipurush, and Bhediya are all awaiting release. Finally, Rao has Badhaai Do, Monica, O My Darling, and the Telugu adaptation.

Despite the re-opening of theatres, Rashmi Rocket director is pleased with the film’s OTT release: “I don’t want to get lost in the crowd”

According to filmmaker Akarsh Khurana, his next film “Rashmi Rocket” is inspired by numerous women athletes who are subjected to the ancient yet “widespread” practise of gender testing in sports.

“Rashmi Rocket,” set in Kutch, Gujarat, portrays Taapsee Pannu as a brilliant athlete who confronts discrimination because she is not conventionally “feminine.” The film is directed by Khurana, who is renowned for the films “Karwaan” and “Mismatched.” It is based on an original narrative by south filmmaker Nanda Periyasamy.

“It isn’t based on a single person’s life. It is based on the difficulties of many Indian and international female athletes. The intriguing thing is that our understanding of situations like gender testing and other similar issues is limited to a few high-profile examples that may have made the press.

“But what’s most intriguing is that Nanda, from Tamil Nadu, (revealed) that there are so many examples in villages and other states that we’re not even aware of.”

“Aside from the fact that some people have undergone this procedure in real life, this is an entirely fictionalised account of events. It’s a different tale altogether… The conditions of the gender test, as well as the events that follow the test, are entirely made up, and it is not representative of anyone’s life “.

The Mumbai-born filmmaker said he understood the film would be dealing with a delicate subject when he agreed to join the production.

“The producers did not intend for the narrative to be told in a theatrical manner. It has to be done more gently and subtly. We’ve created an interesting and compelling video that will hopefully leave you thinking “he stated. Priyanshu Painyuli, Supriya Pathak Kapur, Abhishek Banerjee, and Supriya Pilgaonkar also feature in the film.

Overall, “Rashmi Rocket” is a narrative about people.

Do you lead a sedentary existence? Here’s how you can do something about it with very little effort

Do you love relaxing and watching your favourite web series after a 30 minute or so workout? Just one or two episodes, maybe five. You spend the most of your day in front of a computer, another electronic gadget, or simply on the sofa. If this describes you, you are sedentary much too much of the time. And that might indicate the onset of cardiac disease.

You haven’t been alarmed yet, have you? According to the World Health Organization, sedentary habits, often known as ‘Sitting Disease’ or ‘Couch Potato Syndrome,’ are responsible for over 2 million deaths. Sedentary behaviour is defined as sitting or reclining for a prolonged period of time, such as in a car on the way to work, at meetings, or on the sofa watching TV. It is characterised as “waking behaviour” with an energy expenditure of 1.5 Metabolic Equivalent.

Physical exercise does not compensate for the negative effects of sitting all day. It might be difficult to break bad habits, but try some of these suggestions. When it comes to better health, a little goes a long way and can help you reduce your risk factors. Here’s how you can do something about it.

We need major behavioural adjustments, particularly among youngsters and young adults, who spend more time on devices than playing. It is the responsibility of the parent to choose which activity the child enjoys and instil the habit in them.

Chores such as caring to the garden, cleaning the house, and walking the dog expose the youngsters to physical activity, which is necessary to keep lethargy at bay. Sugary foods create a quick rise and fall in blood sugar levels, which can lead to a loss of appetite; thus, foods that are slowly digested are excellent for any metabolism and should be promoted.

Several South Koreans consider themselves to be “living” the Squid Game

Income inequality that is highly skewed. Household debt is becoming worse. In the face of intense competition, survival of the fittest is the only option.

Squid Game, a South Korean thriller that is now No. 1 on the global Netflix list and generating a lot of attention on social media, is seen as a “wonderful metaphor” for the East Asian country and reveals many unpleasant realities that its citizens endure. “I’ve been playing the Squid Game for 30 years,” one netizen said.

The nine-part drama follows 456 individuals as they compete in a series of deadly twists on childhood games like marbles and tug-of-war in order to earn a cash prize of 45.6 billion won (S$52 million).

Gi-hun, the primary character, is a down-and-out man who is battling with his life. He chose to establish his own fried chicken business after losing his job in a car manufacturing firm – a harsh reminder of how Ssangyong Motor lay off over 2,600 people in 2009 – but racked up a debt of over 400 million won.

He enters the Squid Game in the hopes of winning enough money to pay for his diabetic mother’s operation and to reclaim custody of his daughter from his ex-wife.

Mr. Hwang Dong-hyuk, the drama’s writer and director, stated that everyone in a capitalist system may descend to the bottom like Gi-hun. “Thousands of people have become self-employed as a result of Covid-19. I wanted to convey it to the characters in the programme “Mr. Hwang stated.

South Korea, home to mega corporations like as Samsung, SK, and Hyundai, surpassed the United States to become the world’s tenth biggest economy last year, thanks to rising exports of memory chips, smartphones, and consumer electronics fueled by the epidemic.

Many individuals, however, are suffering as a result of rising housing prices, rising family debt, increasing economic disparities, and high young unemployment, all of which have been worsened by the epidemic.

Preventative drugs are beneficial, but altering one’s lifestyle is much better

Cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are still the world’s leading cause of death. It kills twice as many people as Cancer, the second-leading killer. Every year, millions of people die from heart attacks and sudden cardiac death. Many celebrities died suddenly and unexpectedly this year as a result of what is thought to be sudden cardiac death (SCD). It doesn’t spare anyone, from a healthy journalist to a young strong film actor! It’s also quite common—every two minutes, someone in the United States dies from SCD.

Most acute cardiovascular problems can be rescued because to significant breakthroughs in contemporary medicine, such as medicines, life-saving technologies, and catheters to reach deep recesses in the heart and stents. Unfortunately, these medical advancements have not resulted in improved treatment or lower mortality and morbidity in chronic CVD patients.

The prevalence of hypertension, diabetes, and coronary artery disease is increasing. The reduced radius of the coronary arteries in Indians is thought to be genetically predisposed. As a result, they are less prone than their western counterparts to have their arteries clogged by accumulated fat. Stress, lack of exercise, and an unhealthy diet all contribute to a greater risk of CVD. Others suffer from SCD, a condition in which the heart beats excessively rapidly or stops. People can die even before an ambulance arrives, or before you have a chance to notify the person next to you or any emergency services.

Meditation is a non-pharmaceutical, cost-effective, and safe activity that can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Yoga is more than just physical poses, contrary to common belief. Physical postures, mental training in mindfulness and meditation, breathing methods, and a healthy food are all part of this lifestyle. The notion of a whole new way of life is foreign to many westerners, and many Indians continue to misunderstand yoga as a series of physical exercises.

Baa, on the other hand, is irritated and accuses her of cooking in another man’s home.
