Protein is an essential nutrient for our body, it helps to build muscle, repair tissues and keep our energy up. Instead of snacking on chips and other high fat food, try the following. They will keep you satiated longer and are more filling options.

  1. PROTEIN BAR- Made with healthy and nutritious ingredients, they are full of protein and fiber. They will keep the hunger at bay. They are a good snack pre or post workout.
  2. DRIED ALMONDS- Almonds are rich in antioxidants, protein, dietary fiber, magnesium and minerals. They keep your blood pressure and cholesterol in check. They are a delight to munch on.
  3. CHICKPEAS- This is a good plant-based protein. They are high in fiber and good for the gut as well. Rich in iron and magnesium, they curb hunger and keep your weight in check.
  4. MAKHANAS- Fox nuts are gluten free, low in calories, so please eat them guilt free. Rich in calcium, magnesium and antioxidants, they are great for overall bone health too.
  5. MIXED NUTS AND SEEDS- Rich in fibre, Omega-3 fatty acids and plant- based protein, this is my go-to snack. You can mix sunflower, pumpkin, flax, sesame, chia and soybeans and roast them.

The above food unlike high carb snacks, keep the blood sugar in check, boost metabolism and are easily available.
