Abundantia Entertainment has produced many super hit films and web series that had entertained audience for years, and now the production company is all set to bring back a new series based on Nirav Modi. According to India Today, Abundantia Entertainment has acquired the rights of journalist, Pavan C Lall’s book Flawed: The Rise and Fall of India’s Diamond Mogul Nirav Modi. The book will be adapted into a dramatised, multi-season series for streaming and the scripting of the series is currently ongoing.

Flawed: The Rise and Fall of India’s Diamond Mogul Nirav Modi is a book that tells the story of fugitive businessman Nirav Modi, who is wanted in India on suspicion of defrauding the Punjab National Bank of approximately USD 2 billion. Pavan C Lall’s book is based on personal encounters, incisive interviews, and meticulous research. The book contains all of the minor details about the life of Nirav Modi, the man behind one of India’s biggest financial scandals. The book also discusses everything from rising to power to having a downfall.

Journalist Pavan C Lall told India Today, that bringing the life of Nirva Modi in series is not an easy task, but he is excited about the project because it will be a book-to-screen journey, and he is grateful that his book will be a part of the adaptation. Speaking on the subject, he stated, “It is an extremely exciting opportunity, and I am thrilled to be a part of this book-to-screen adaptation journey. Capturing the sensibility of a book in a cinematic way is not a simple task, but I have full faith in Abundantia Entertainment and believe that they will do complete justice to this endeavour and give Flawed the appropriate visual mounting. The book is my effort to bring to the audience the tale of a larger-than-life entrepreneur – his spectacular rise and equally dramatic fall which brought an entire industry to its knees.”

In August 2018, Interpol and the Government of India charged Nirav Modi with criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, dishonesty and cheating including delivery of property, money laundering, corruption, fraud, and breach of contract.
