Shaunak Sen directed this documentary over a period of 3 years. The cinematographers changed, however each one gave their inputs and captured the dystopian view of the city. This documentary is roughly 90 minutes and some may consider it grim yet it’s the truth. The inhospitable environment is growing by leaps and bounds, if we don’t keep a reality check. The protagonists are ordinary people like us, that’s what makes the story very relatable.
What starts as a compassionate gesture for Saud, Nadeem and Salik to save birds, gradually becomes their life’s mission. A meagre grant from FCRA enabled the three men to pursue their activities.
This short film is a stark depiction of nature that is both stunning and thought provoking. It raises several thoughts and questions in the viewers mind as to where the world is heading.
