Bheemla Nayak, a Telugu film starring Pawan Kalyan, was released on February 25 and immediately set the Telugu box office on fire. The film will now be released on OTT platforms a month after its theatrical debut. From March 25, the Saagar K Chandra directed film, which centers around an ego battle between a police officer and an ex-army officer, will be available to stream on Disney Plus Hotstar.

In the last week of February, Bheemla Nayak premiered to mixed reviews. “The Telugu adaptation is all about one guy and one man only- Bheemla Nayak aka Pawan Kalyan,” Manoj Kumar of indianexpress.com noted in his review. And who is Bheemla Nayak, anyway? The film doesn’t even provide a complete response. Bheemla Nayak has a background, but it doesn’t reveal much about him. The flashback just proves that Bheemla Nayak is serious about his work. He is a saviour for the poor, women, and children, as well as a nightmare for wicked guys. In the aforementioned scenario, Bheemla Nayak uses his bare hands to extract a fully grown man’s arms from his shoulder socket as if it were a strand of hair.”

“When Trivikram and I discussed remaking the film in Telugu, the first hurdle we faced was making Biju Menon’s role larger than life and ensuring that the film focused around him. Pawan Kalyan portrayed the character in Telugu. Koshi’s character was more essential in Ayyappanum Koshiyum. As a result, a paradigm shift occurred in Telugu. Then we had to condense a three-hour picture into less than two hours and thirty minutes. The original version was mostly a procedural, with the majority of the emotional outpouring occurring in the final 30 minutes. It’s tough to keep a half-hour audience engaged without a shift in the arc. “We made a lot of alterations to get the speed up,” he remarked.
