According to Guinness World Records’ official website, the boy band set three new social media records in the previous month owing to its worldwide ARMY and pop fans. BTS holds the record for having the most Instagram followers of any music group. As of February 2022, they have 60,151,959 followers on the social networking platform.
For performing the feat, the squad broke its own record. In April 2021, BTS broke the record with a staggering amount of 40,220,226. In less than five hours, BTS member V smashed two of his own records.
V achieved the record for the fastest time to reach one million Instagram followers, at a time of 43 minutes. In 4 hours and 52 minutes, he achieved the record for the fastest time to reach 10 million Twitter followers.
BTS’s social media success does not stop there. They also have the most TikTok and Twitter followers of any music group. The guys have 45.7 million TikTok followers and 44,167,059 Twitter followers. In 2017, One Direction kept the top spot-on Twitter, with 31,747,631 followers.
