Here is a special update for K-pop fans. Korea’s Gaon Music Chart has revealed its rankings for the week of August 15 to August 21. For the unversed, The Gaon Music Chart presents the weekly popularity of songs or albums in South Korea. It is produced by the Korea Music Content Association. Gaon Music Chart for South Korea is similar to the Billboard charts of the USA.
The album chart for the week features brand new entries in the top five. TXT’s ‘The Chaos Chapter: FIGHT OR ESCAPE’ took the top spot this week. Red Velvet’s ‘Queendom’ is at the second spot. Once again, TXT’s ‘Loser = Lover’ is at the number 1 and number 2 spot.
As for the socials chart, BTS and BLACKPINK are ruling the top slots. BTS ranked number 1, BLACKPINK took the second spot.
Meanwhile, BTS has come up with a new remix of their ever-popular “Butter”. While the new remix version carries Megan Thee’s signature spirit, it retains BTS members’ great vocals.
