BTS has won many awards. They have many records that they have broken. This year, BTS has been awarded the “Best K-Pop” category for the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards.

BTS was put against BLACKPINK, MONSTA X, TWICE, SEVENTEEN, and (G)I-DLE in the “Best K-Pop” category this year. This isn’t the first time they have won this award. This marks the third year in a row that BTS has won this award. In 2019, “Boy With Luv” featuring Halsey won this award and then, ‘ON’ went on to win the award in 2020.

The category was originally started in 2019 but was disliked by fans since BTS was not nominated for this award despite being the most popular K-pop act. This year, however, BTS is nominated for 7 other categories, including “Song of the Year,” and they have won “Group of the Year.”

Yes, BTS won the ‘Group of the Year’ award for the third year in a row. They are the only group who have managed to achieve this feat. They were nominated alongside BLACKPINK, CNCO, Foo Fighters, Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5, Silk Sonic, and Twenty One Pilots.

They accepted it with, “Hi, we are BTS! Thank you, VMAs for the “Group of the Year” award. And ARMYs, this is all possible thanks to you guys. Though we can’t meet in person, we feel your love every minute, every second. We love you and we miss you. Thank you so much!”
