Taarek Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a Hindi sitcom based on the weekly column, “Duniya Ne Undha Chasme” by Taarek Mehta in Chitralekha magazine. It is digitally available on SonyLiv and the show holds the Guiness World Record for the longest running daily storm on television.
Fans of this show have been waiting for the return of their favourite character, Daya Ben. The constant banter and fun between Jethal and Daya are missing. However the fans can rejoice now as the producers are bringing back the famous character.
“We have no reason to not get back Daya Ben’s character. But we all have faced difficult times in the recent past. 2020-2021 has been a tough phase for all of us. But now that things have got better, in 2022 koi bhi acche samay par we will bring back the character of Daya Ben and the audience will once again get the entertainment back,” the producer remarks.
For those who are not well versed, Disha along with her husband Mayur Pandit have welcomed their second child- a boy and the actress is currently taking care of their newborn son.
Mayur Vakani told ET times, “ Disha will surely return to the show. It has been a long time and Taarak is the only show she has acted in for so many years. We are all waiting for when she gets working on the sets.”
