The protagonist, Sara Ali Khan, in the movie is a young paraplegic woman confined to a wheelchair, who returns to her family’s royal place 15 years after receiving a letter from her father. She is greeted by her stepmother Rukmani, and she is told that her dad is away on a business trip.

After a series of strange experiences, Sara gets a whip of something suspicious brewing and something terrible has happened to her dataa/ father. Raja Saheb’s close aide, Vikrant Massey helps the princess to find the truth and the deeper they dig, the more dirt rises. Several other murders, some gasp evoking scenes and a rather predictable twist, the writers Pavan Kirpalani and  Neha Veena Sharma, wants the audience to be on the edge of their seats but does it happen?

Vikrant Massey keeps us hooked with his body language and great acting. Chitrangda as Rukmani alias the stepmom, effortlessly essays her role. Sara Ali Khan has tried her hand at a different genre but does the actress shine in this one?

From the director of Ragini MMS one expects more.  Through the 111 minutes on Disney plus Hotstar, the director tries to walk us through the path several have tried before but where’s the newness? It’s the stereotype blueprint that we have seen before. It’s done and dusted, does not appeal the viewers! The movie has been shot in the dark, I feel the director only said, “Camera and action”, he forgot to say, “lights.”

Watch it if you are totally free and with zero expectations. The movie is predictably unpredictable.
