Ajay Devgn and Tabu are creating waves at the box office with their movie Drishyam. Over the weekend, the movie has crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark and this makes it one of the most profitable films of the year.
Directed by Abhishek Pathak, it’s a sequel to the 2015 hit Drishyam and a remake of Mohanlal’s 2021 Malyalam film, also titled Drishyam 2. The movie is expected to break the record of Bhool Bhulaiyaa by the next week. The movie has given a dry run to the latest ‘Bhediya’, which just released this weekend.
The movie revolves around Vijay Salgaonkar, who lives in Goa, with his wife and daughters Anju and Annu. After the accidental death of Sam, a young boy who is the son of Goa IG Meera Deshmukh’s son by Anju, Vijay devises a foolproof plan to put away the body and safeguard his family. With the new IG, Akshaye Khanna in town, the case reopens, and they move tooth and nail to find Sam’s body.
Drishyam 2 has no room for disappointment. The screenplay by Aamil Keeyan Khan and Pathak does not go off track and keeps the audience hooked. At every twist, the tension builds, we are glued to the screen, and we are waiting for the next thing to happen. The actors have delivered wonderful performances and the movie picks up full throttle in the second half.
Suspense, action, courtroom drama and the climax of the movie, make us want more and if rumors be true, Drishyam 3 will soon be coming!! It’s a great watch!
