Gauri Khan is an ace interior designer and is constantly expanding her horizons and putting her skills to test. Over the years she has carved a niche for herself and in the times today, she is the go-to designer for celebrity home makeovers.
Recently, she has started a talk show called ‘Dream Homes’ and she shares tips and tricks and shares her knowledge on aesthetics and décor.
In episode 2, filmmaker Kabir Khan is the guest, and they talk about how in just 24 hours, a complete makeover of his home is done, and Gauri Khan proves her mettle. Gauri is heard saying, “I have never worked with such a tight timeline before.”
Gauri believes Kabir’ s luxurious home on the 17th floor needs some remodeling and Kabir agrees to the same due to Gauri’s keen sense of design. The designer said it is difficult to revamp a space in a single day, but she does it. She stated that “Think and be yourself” was the driving force for her as she knows how important proper professional workspace is for productivity.
They also walk down the memory lane where in Kabir Khan reveals how he has known SRK and Gauri since Delhi. They were in the same school, ‘Modern School’. SRK was his senior in film school and would often lend him notes.
Gauri Khan tells Mirchi, “The concept of the show is first of its kind and this is a design show. We have not had many in this space. It also happens to be my first debut as a host on a show. I had a tough time being a host on the show.”
