The magnificent all-female cast of Amazons new drama and thriller is all set to release on September 22nd. Soha Ali Khan, Shahana Goswami, Kritika Kamra and Karishma Tanna are a few who lead this awaited series. To add to the glamour, Juhi Chawla and Ayesha Jhulka, will mark their OTT debuts with this show. Hush-Hush is a tale of women, whose past haunts their present and the brutal facts and truth, threaten to destroy their lives and the women come together. Knitted in a web of lies, deceit and fighting patriarchy, the story explores the storm that is building up in the lives of these privileged women.
The seven-episode thriller is created by filmmaker Tanuja Chandra, who is famous for her movies Sangharsh, Dushman and Qarib Qarib. Acclaimed writer Juhi Chaturvedi has written the dialogues.
In an interview Soha says, “Hush Hush is gritty and real. Often, we would be wearing the same costumes for days and sport no makeup. We had to showcase our raw emotions. So, it was an exhausting and emotionally draining shoot. As an actor, it made me empty in a way that I haven’t done in a long time.”
She added, “This was my first collaboration with Juhi, but I don’t have many scenes with her. The story mainly revolves around Kritika, Shahana and my character. Since we are good friends off screen, it helps the dynamics.”
What makes this series unique is that it features a cast and crew primarily comprising of women, right from the production designer to the costumer designer, the Associate Producer, the Co-producer and even the security functions.
Hush Hush is an emotional, intriguing story with flawed and complex women who light up the series. This series is determined to amplify female voices in real and reel life both!!
